Summer gatherings are even better when delicious appetizers and snacks are on-hand for munching. I love to treat my guests to small bites that bring smiles to their faces and keep them happily snacking. I also love it when said appetizers and snacks are delicious and almost shamefully easy to make!
This Easy Loaded Greek Hummus Dip fits that description to a T as it’s a breeze to put together, and it’s so packed with flavor chances are no one will be able to stop at just one dip!
Also, no-cook recipes, like this colorful Greek dip, are on regular rotation at my place this summer. We (meaning ME) literally can’t get enough of them!
How to make easy loaded Greek hummus dip
This Mediterranean-style recipe starts with two cups (16 ounces) of hummus which can be store-purchased or homemade, as you prefer. Then a little bit of slicing and dicing is required as the hummus will be transferred to a cute serving dish and topped with diced fresh cucumber, sliced cherry tomatoes, diced red onion and briny, sliced black olives.
I also love to drizzle this dip with a little bit of Greek or Italian dressing and I’ll finish it off with a healthy sprinkling of flavorful crumbled Feta cheese and Greek seasoning. Once this gorgeously layered Greek dip is ready, it can be served and enjoyed right away, or it can be covered and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before serving.
Small wedges of pita bread, or pita chips are the ultimate accompaniment for this eye-catching dip. However, some good, buttery crackers, slices of baguette, or more sliced fresh veggies are also great dippers!
I use a quality, store-bought hummus whenever I make this hearty dip, but if you prefer to make your own hummus that’s just fine too. At least two cups of hummus is needed to make this exact recipe, but of course, you can decide if more of less of this decadent layered Greek dip is needed to serve you and your family and friends.
I love the no-cook factor of this dip for hot summer days, but honestly it’s easy, delicious appetizer I’ll serve all year. It’s great for the holidays and office pot lucks too!
Stay cool out there my friends ,and happy dipping, y’all! π
