I’m pretty sure we all love meals that meet this general description: quick, healthy, satisfying, and tasty!
Those happy adjectives definitely apply to these sausage and pepper hoagies and that’s why this recipe is always near the top of my list of go-to quickie meals.
These simple sandwiches take just minutes to make and they are absolutely packed with big flavors.
To be 100% honest, my fussy kids usually pick the peppers and onions off of their buns and it ends up more like a simple meatball sub for them. But, all pepper-picking-off aside, I’m just tickled that they at least love the delicious combination of Italian sausage, marinara and provolone cheeses.
I’m also tickled when I watch them enjoy a modest homemade meal as if it was gourmet takeout!
hope your family enjoys this no-fuss meal as much as mine does.

Marcelle, a nice and easy sandwich for the family! Perfect summertime treat!
That looks so delicious, Marcelle! My husband would probably pick off the peppers too – LOL.
So great how you cooked the sausage with the peppers so all those flavors can mingle!

my husband would absolutely eat this every night if i made it for him–it's one of his favorites! 🙂
This looks great! I like to mix hot and sweet sausage. 🙂
I never thought of cutting the sausage into "nuggets!” That makes it so much easier to eat!
One of my favorite sandwiches. I have never thought of cutting up the sausages for it.
My husband is from the East Coast and would love your hoagies. (And me too!) Always nice when children appreciate Mom's cooking =)

Hi Angie, those rolls are made by the bakery at our local market and they are crusty and good. They call them bolillos:) Thank you!! 🙂
These look amazing, Marcelle! I will make these next time I have some leftover marinara!
What a great sandwich! The bread roll looks exactly like our Brötchen over here. They are simply the best.
This is one of my husbands favorite sandwiches, he grew up on these. Love all the color!!
